Welcome to our “About Us” page. It probably should be titled “More About Us” since you’ve already learned a little bit about us on our Home Page, but I digress – So who are we?
WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?
Doerler Landscapes is a family business that was founded in 1962. Doerler provides custom, award winning, professional landscape design and installation services, and is considered a premier Design/Build Landscape Architectural firm. By constructing projects that we design, Doerler Landscapes can create not only innovative plans and solutions, but also superior value.
Doerler Landscapes has vast experience with a full range of plant material, as well as construction products, their costs and limitations. Clients benefit from this experience during the entire design, budget and construction process.
We regularly have clients throughout Central New Jersey as well as Eastern Pennsylvania. Our projects can be found in Lawrenceville, Princeton, Skillman, Hopewell, Hillsborough, Pennington, West Windsor, Princeton Junction, Robbinsville, Hamilton, Lumberton and Moorestown just to name some of towns that we serve.
Here’s the part where I would like to tell you what makes us special and unique…
Now entering our 55th year in business (for more on that please see on our History Page), Doerler Landscapes is a well-established family business that values its clients and employees. The unique, exciting, custom projects that we develop are a direct result of the relationships and partnerships that we cultivate with our clients and staff. Our business culture and philosophy has garnered numerous design and business awards, that we were very grateful to receive. But don’t take our word for it, please visit our Awards or Testimonial pages to see what others are saying.
HOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH WHAT WE DO?
We cultivate and promote a collaborative approach with our clients. Our landscape beautification projects are custom designed. Whether its an outdoor room, outdoor kitchen, a terrace for a residential client or a landscape enhancement project for an office building, we are a design-driven firm and we emphasize not only the beauty of a space but also its function.
At our design center, we often utilize 3D imaging as a tool to communicate our ideas. During this collaborative process, we encourage and foster a very low key, stress free and no pressure environment. This helps ensure that we are the right firm for our clients and vice-versa. It also makes landscape architecture and design a fun and exciting experience for the whole family.
OUR HISTORY AND WHY WE HAVE BRIGHT ORANGE TRUCKS.
Ok, so here is the part where everyone will figure out how old I am.
Doerler Landscapes was founded in 1962 by my father, William Doerler, on the day that I was born. The rest of the story is in our History section but I will give you a clue about the orange trucks. Spoiler Alert – The business was founded in Princeton, New Jersey.
In any event, our tagline “Growing Relationships Since 1962“, is a direct acknowledgement of our longevity. Throughout our history, the key to providing exceptional results to our clients has been retaining long term, loyal, outstanding employees. Our vice presidents ( Brian Kelliher, Michele Smith, Janice Thomas and Ken Mihok) of residential design build, operations, maintenance, and production, have been with our family business 15, 20, 35, and 40 years respectively. The average length of employment for our maintenance and landscape foreman is 12 years.
I have been here for 31 years, and one of the things that I have come to realize is, that at the end of the day we are in the relationship business.
On that note, I think it is important to point out the relationship that we have maintained with our community. On our Community Page, you will see more detailed information about our involvement with many civic organizations. We have always felt that it was very important to give back, so if nothing else comes from a visit to our website, please consider helping others however and wherever you can.
Phew- I’m done telling you about us. Actually there’s more to tell but I promised to keep it short and I’m not sure that I kept it short enough. In any event, thank you for visiting and please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help you. Give us a call us or email us at Growing.Doerler.com.
